About

Welcome home, take a seat…

This site is the product of my recent work as the owner of an IT company with over 900 websites and my lifelong passion for motorcycles. It may probably be the last motorcycle  I´ll ever buy new (or maybe not if the wife changes…) From my first motorcycle aged 7, the venerable and equally shameful Honda 50 stepthru with no brakes,  to the XR250 Honda enduro bike at age 12, motorcycles seem to be indelibly part of who I am.

From age 18 I started down the long road of adult bike ownership with Yamaha´s 350 XT then, a myriad of machines.. .GPZ1000R, ZZR11 (1990), ZZR11 (1992), ZX9R (1997). My last bike was the R1 (2002-2005) on which I had the most fun. It was an astounding machine and the best wheelie bike I have had thus far. Then came the kids… and lamentably no bikes…

Now at just over 40, it seems I’ve changed and with it so have bikes. Crotch rockets are now divided into Banzai and outright lunacy I feel, plus, I´m not into custom bikes at all. Probably because I don´t have enough facial hair or those saddle buckles with strange engravings strike me as a little camp. I also concur to detest Harley´s (sorry Harley owners…) So, what is one to do? One who loves the adrenalin charging power of sports bikes but doesn´t want the stigma of riding one at over 40?

Looks like the man in the sky (or was it just Yamaha alone?) brought us the VMAX…

On these pages I’ll reveal my love affair with it, buying one, living with one, plus all the stuff I don´t like (when they bloody deliver it that is…)

If I don´t like it then I´ll sell it and put «sold» on this site. Until then…

Enjoy
