Purchasing the V-Max

In keeping with the original concept the new VMAX guarantees owners an adrenalin filled motorcycling experience unrivalled by any other machine. Built to the most exacting standards, the high performance roadster is now introduced to the world market in strictly limited numbers. Because of the high production costs of such a limited edition motorcycle, YMA is offering the long awaited VMAX for sale to customers at an RRP (inc GST) of $29,850.

Customers are asked to place a $2000 deposit with their local Yamaha dealer in order to secure a unit. Yamaha has globally positioned the VMAX at the very pinnacle of Yamaha’s huge motorcycle range. It is anticipated that the new model will achieve cult status due to its unique qualities and limited production run, so customers should appreciate the special worth of the VMAX and will benefit from a high resale value. As befits its unique status, there is a unique set of VMAX ordering and purchasing requirements which are as follows:

1) Customer pays Yamaha dealer $2000 deposit for VMAX
2) Customer and dealer fill in order form and send to YMA head office
3) YMA advises customer that deposit has been lodged and order of unit has been successful
4) Customer receives pre-sales gifts from Yamaha
5) Delivery of units to dealer takes place from November 2008 on a first come, first served basis
6) Customer receives after sales book from Yamaha

A national advertising campaign will highlight the exclusivity of the new VMAX and direct customers to YMA’s website at www.yamahamotor. com.au where they will find all details of the ordering process and the location of their nearest dealer. YMA has two pre-production VMAX units that will be used in various displays around the country and this will be the only opportunity that potential customers will get to see the VMAX in the flesh.

Customers will receive prepurchase gifts direct from YMA which will include the issue of two individual serial number plates designed to attach to each customer’s motorcycle. A post purchase gift of a top quality coffee table VMAX book will also be sent direct to customers in order to further cement the relationship that they are bound to form with this latest cult status motorcycle.

The VMAX project is a brand building concept designed to raise customer satisfaction across the Yamaha range. It is a global concept that staff from all Yamaha departments and regions care passionately about, from the product planners through to the factory floor workers. The aim is to use this amazing motorcycle to highlight Yamaha’s unique brand position. VMAX features and benefits: Power, acceleration and adrenalin Yamaha’s all-new exclusive VMAX offers 21st century engine and chassis technology delivering awesome power, an unrivalled acceleration feeling and the ultimate adrenalin rush.

The new VMAX is a showcase for some of Yamaha’s cutting-edge engine and chassis technology – from the YCCI and YCC-T engine control systems through to the aluminium frame and the radial-mounted 6- piston front brakes, all good for providing 200bhp and 167Nm of torque.
